You mention that this sectional is a down/blend. As a designer the things I see (that worry me) for instance, the play in the fabric, meaning the seat cushions and back look “saggy”. Sometimes this does happen with down, and some people like the look and feel of a squishy looking sofa, but over time if the sag gets saggier, they aren’t happy with it. I will look to see if it has options for other cushions, like a spring down seat cushion which gives more support and won’t squish down very much over time. The sag in the back pillows also gives me pause, but we will see what they have. I need looks as well as comfort as this will not be in a basement. Glad overall you are enjoying yours. I think the style looks fine in the basement as the room/architecture is fairly transitional over all and not overly traditional in feel, at least from what I can see.

Good questions! The sofa itself is definitely not too firm. It has a cozy feel when sitting on it.

I actually have never noticed that the Charly has shallow seats. A deeper seat depth isn’t something I’d prefer, but we do use the chaise when we want to really lounge!

One thing I didn’t see mentioned was the comfort of the couch itself. I have experienced that sleeper couches can have a very firm/uncomfortable sit. Can you share your experience on this?
Also, the Charly sleeper is listed to have a relatively shallow seat depth. How has your experience been with this? Would you have preferred a deeper depth?

I was not! I’d heard so many good things about the brand that I trusted it would be comfortable (but I hear where you’re coming from). Interior Define does have some storefronts throughout the US…you could check if there’s one in your area so you could test out some sofas in person!
