I really loved reading your article, Brittany. I grew up and still live in Southern CA, and have always felt the pressure to enjoy the summer, love the beach + sun, and overall be outdoorsy. It’s so good to know someone else feels the same. I totally understand the feeling of loneliness when the day stretches out in front of you and you’re not able to fill it. The cooler days and darker nights of autumn feel like a hug with lower, comfortable expectations. Roll on September.
