I also live in a rental and am in a similar situation as you. It’s hard to put money into something you don’t own, but it’s so important to make sure the space is a reflection of you still!

I just love this article – and I couldn’t agree more with your first tip for the livingroom decor 😉 Great that you recommend vintage pieces: a high quality rug should be something that can be passed on for the future generations, or sold (sometimes even with higher value than what it costed in the first place!).

Another quick way of changing your living room or your bedroom is cushion. Changing the cushion covers can change the whole feel of the room, plus it’s really not expensive.
Changing your curtains can also bring a whole new feel to the room. For exemple, I prefer using veil-y curtains during spring and summer, to make the best of natural light.
