Oh, and the furnishing/decor part was definitely slow for me, and according to my husband, lol. At one point he “threatened” to pick out some furniture if I didn’t do it. Mind you, this was coming from a man who’s in his mancave A LOT (read: video games/Simpsons on the TV), and whose said mancave has dark floors, a dark wood panel wall (recently installed), a black CEILING, dark gray black-out curtains…and the decor? Well, on this late-Feb day there’s a Halloween cauldron decor piece that has red fabric “flames” in motion, dancing upwards (from a fan) that’s been on 24/7 since – Halloween.

Many a times I had to tell him to chill out, I will get there/these things take time, and sternly remind him that he was in charge of ONLY the mancave.

I was STUMPED on the layout. I used Modsy, an online company that helps with floor plan layout and furniture selection. I told them how I wanted to use the space, and of course they asked questions for the design part (but I was just going after layout, I didn’t intend to buy any furniture/decor from them.) They really nailed it! I would have never thought of the designs they came up with; it was well worth the price.
