hello there! I’m hoping that I don’t sound like a troll, so here goes! Support local artists! Invest in art! I’d love for readers to consider spending just as much on artwork as they do on a sofa, or wallpaper, or kitchen counters, and the labor to install those features. How does your art budget compare to the rest of your décor budget? I cringe when I read about “budget-friendly” or “affordable” art. The good thing about art is that if you want to change it up in 5 years, you don’t just throw it away like you would with most building materials. It can be resold or traded for something new (to you).

I love this! After this last year I was really missing being able to visit art museums while they were closed, so I framed some of the admissions pins I’d collected from various ones over the years – it makes me smile everyday
