I have been blessed for most of my life with friends from all generations which currently span 20s to 90s.
I Happened upon your article when I was writing a surprise ceremony for a 14 year old girl who one day commented to her mum’s friends that she wished that they were her godparents. I am a celebrant and we are doing an official ceremony to appoint them as a surprise. I am writing things about friendship s over generations.

When I was younger,like you said,your friends are your age. As I got older many of my friends were 10 to 20 years older than me. As I’ve gotten older these dear friends have passed away and now I have friends that are sometimes young enough to be my children.
