I love this! I think a lot of us tend to try to ‘slowly’ wake up by hopping on our phones or ‘wind down’ by doing the same thing. If you think about it it’s actually a pretty stressful way to end or begin your day – so much information and so much happening online all the time. Good for you girl, hope these habits are on their way to becoming the norm for you!

My husband is an expert at not giving his time to too many things and it helps to keep you from getting side-tracked or obligated by too many emails, tasks or other things. I also try to be outside as much as possible, because it really does calm your mind. I love listening to the rain with my cat – he keeps me grounded.

I don’t think all natural environments are created equal either – I’d be very happy by the sea but incredibly anxious stuck in a desert.

I say spending time near elements that are associated with your personality, astrological alignment, etc tend to have the best relaxing qualities – I enjoy feeling the breeze, being up high, etc – and I’m an air elemental and a Libra so this makes sense for me. šŸ™‚

This must be Faith because I was just 10 minutes ago staring at my running gear and thought to myself “how da fuck am I gonna force myself to go for a run tomorrow morning when I’ve failed to do that for two weeks now??” And then I read this. And you’re so right!! I just need to do it, that’s it, no more excuses! I’ll lay out the clothes next to my bed so I can literally jump into them in the morning and get out.
