How I wish there’s a book club here in where I live but so far, there’s none and the majority of the people I know don’t like reading books which is a total bummer but this gave me an idea to always provide time for friends.

Lydia – that is such a great question. Both book clubs I’ve been in started the same way. One or two people (sometimes friends, sometimes work acquaintances, sometimes neighbors) said to each other, “Hey, would you ever want to do a book club?” And if both people do, then they each go invite one or two more people – and maybe ask those people to invite one or two more. I’ve found that 6-8 is a good number (it gives us all plenty of time to talk and contribute) – but some people do more or less than that! In my experience, lots of people are interested in book clubs, and they’re justing waiting for the opportunity! Good luck!

I had a book club with two girls who lived in my apartment building, but it fell by the way side when we all moved out. It was so helpful though, during that time when we were all moving to the Portland and figuring out how to get settled. <3
