Trying new things, learning + growing – all good skills and a big WHY I left my professional life behind. I needed to have a clean slate, a fresh set of problems to solve, mistakes to make BIG TIME. I’m failing at parts of my new life, nearly every single day. But. I’m the most fulfilled, engaged and happy I’ve been in a long time because I’m learning, taking risks and asking for help. Thank you for these words, it’s so encouraging to see someone as amazing as you doing life, mess-ups, insecurities and all, just like the rest of us. You got this lady!

They think that because they don’t have the skills to make their dream a reality, that they are a fraud. That thinking is the biggest hurdle you need to get over in order to start investing in taking that first step towards learning something new.” – This very last part speaks to me the most. I am almost 50 and dreaming of a more creative life but scared shitless to jump!! Thank you for this post, it is just what my competitive self was needing.
