I’m curious if you would share the approximate cost of the shades for your home, because the “at one-third the price” bit seems really overblown—and possibly just plain false—to me. We’re looking into new roman blinds for our bedroom and when I saw this post I was delighted to check out the company since they look so lovely and advertised themselves as more affordable than other shade stores. So I followed the link, entered the dimensions for one window, clicked through and selected a fabric…and the price for ONE shade was $538. That’s over a hundred dollars more than a similar shade from an online competitor. And this is without blackout, or any extras. I went back through and tried again with a different type of roman shade…same price. Admittedly, our windows are taller than average, but still. I’m highly disappointed.

I’d been browsing interior designs website recently until I bumped on your website! You share incredibly cool information and interior design ideas that are very useful for my next projects. Barn & Willow seems to have the right materials that I need to make my projects next to perfect. As a thrifty person, I always think outside the box to make sure that I don’t have to spend too much to achieve the pleasant interior that I have thought of. I also sew and construct things that fit my designs but I just end up feeling restless and discontent.

In reply to Suzy. Hi Suzy, all of the shades are the Belgian Flax Linen Roman Shades in either Light Grey or Off White! The only places that are privacy lined are the kid's rooms, and the shades in the living room are just unlined linen. Happy to hear this post was so timely for you - enjoy!

Love those blinds. They look so elegant. And still let so much light in.

And I know what you mean about the cost of blinds etc. I moved into my current flat here in Vienna last year, and it took me a year to get curtains for the kitchen as everywhere I looked in Austria they were so expensive. I finally found affordable ones on a family holiday to Spain 🙂
