We had no children so our journey is different than most but still we’ve made serious accommodations for each other. He is, was and always has been a glass half empty, grumpy old man, who does not have or want friends or anyone in his life but me (and our dog(S)). I’m the hostess with the mostest who loves nothing more than throwing parties, having dinner parties, baking and giving it away, and hanging out with my women friends. It’s been a bumpy ride but we’ve done it and I’m so glad I spoke to that odd looking guy in the J Paul Getty museum on that Sunday afternoon in October 1980.
